Thank you for taking the time to clarify. I understand your concerns. Unfortunately, women are already relegated to a second tier of competition under the status quo, aren't they? Women's sports generally get less viewership, and elite women athletes get paid less. So the status quo isn't benefiting them.

I agree that transition to a more fair and scientific system would be difficult in the short term. I have said that the term "women" is still useful to redress inequality. So maybe in the short term, there can be incentives to female athletes to ease the transition to a new system. And we have to fight this battle on other fronts outside the sports arena--everything is connected.

It's tempting to stick to the status quo or just make tiny incremental tweaks (that may be in the wrong direction) because change is so hard. But the conversation should be about *how* we change, not *whether* we change. And I hope people like you can help think of ways to make that transition possible.
